Live Music at MOTS
This is where the music lives.
Mouth of the South isn't just a restaurant—it's a gathering place and a damn good reason to stay out late or get up early. We bring in real musicians playing real music, right in the middle of it all. No velvet ropes, no separation. Just good sound settling into your bones while you eat, drink, and lose track of time.
We've hosted heavy hitters like Hector Anchondo, Tom Pevear, Dustin Arbuckle & Matt Woods, Gunnar Guenette, Steve Lovett, Brody Buster, Tony Holiday, and Max Kaplan. Whether it's a weeknight set or a weekend throwdown, expect scratch-made Southern food, strong drinks, and music that hits you right in the soul.
Blues Brunch | Every Sunday
Our weekly reset. Live blues, bottomless good times, and the kind of brunch worth crawling out of bed for. Bring your people, camp out for a while, and let the music do the rest.
Check our lineup and plan your next visit.

Mike Munson Blues Brunch
May 17 | 11am - 2pm
About Mike:
Mike Munson is a guitarist from Winona, Minnesota who spent years chasing something most players only read about. He found it at the Blue Front Cafe in Bentonia, Mississippi, recording under the direct mentorship of Grammy-nominated bluesman Jimmy "Duck" Holmes, who invited him to join Blue Front Records. That experience didn't just shape his playing, it became his foundation. You can hear it in the intricate fingerpicking and the hypnotic rhythms that run through everything he does.
His music doesn't live in one genre and doesn't pretend to. Original songs that pull from blues, roots, jazz, folk, and Americana have earned him stages alongside Mavis Staples, spots at the Vancouver Folk Music Festival, the Montreal International Jazz Festival, and the Waterfront Blues Festival, and features in Smithsonian, Guitar Player, and No Depression. His recordings rotate regularly at radio stations throughout the region. The man has put in the work.
We're thrilled to have him at Blues Brunch. Come early, get a seat, and let this one settle in.
Nathan Paul & Troy Johnson Blues Brunch
May 24 | 11am - 2pm
About Nathan Paul & Troy Johnson:
Nathan Paul plays country and blues out of Omaha. His 2021 debut Country Boys Paradise put him on the local map, and he's been working Omaha bars and Blues Society stages ever since.
Troy Johnson plays bass like a man with 35 years of receipts to back it up. He's a three-time Nebraska Music Hall of Fame inductee who has shared stages with rock legends including Stephen Pearcy of Ratt, Frank Hannon of Tesla, and George Lynch of Dokken. His playing moves easily across country, bluegrass, rock, jazz, and gospel, and he's been featured in Bass Player, Rolling Stone, Bluegrass Today, and Metal Edge.
We're stoked to have these two at Blues Brunch. Come hungry, stay loose, and let the music do the rest.
